Packet8 is one of the newest and largest internet phone service available now. Their service offers Crystal Clear sound and reception using your broadband connection. I had the pleasure of trying out their services a few months back before I moved. But as always, packet 8 is giving out something more along with their great service. Getting a Video Phone has been something that I always wanted. When I was little I saw it on television, more specifically, it was a spy movie. Though I don’t clearly remember the name as it was a long time ago and I was young, I would have to guess it was a James Bond movie but anyway, you can get your own video phone from Packet8.
By video phone I don’t mean that you can record stuff on your phone like a cell phone or take pictures, but an actual live conversation with the person you are talking to. It’s like being right next to the person and talking to your friend. Your friend can see what you are doing and you can see what your friend is doing. I often try to show my friends things on the tv or computer but since they are not with me, I can’t, but if I have one of their video phones, I just put the phone in front of what I want them to see. It’ll be a breeze to show off another way.
Packet8 offers two types of video phones. One is called the VideoPhone DV326 that has some pretty great specs. It has a 5″ video screen so it’s like having a little portable DVD Player. And if the person is out of focus, the camera will auto focus for you. Their second phone is called the Packet8 Tango. The one I want. Why? Well first, it reminds me of an iPod and it seems I can fit it into my pocket and carry it around with me. It also has a 5″ LCD Screen and it is crystal clear.
