Hummer H3

The Hummer H3 is the third member in the Hummer family, a group of civilian cars that can trace their ancestry back to the military Hummer, formally known as the M998 HMMWV. The acronym HMMWV stands for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle and this vehicle was designed for the United States armed forces to replace militarized civilian trucks.

Released in 2006, the Hummer H3 is the smallest of the three Hummer models and is more of a conventional SUV than a military vehicle. It comes with a GMT345 platform is based on the GMT355, a platform that you can find in cars such as the GMC Canyon and the Chevrolet Colorado.

The H3 Alpha package contains Vortec 5.3 L V-8 rated at 295 horsepower (224 kW) and 317 ft.lbf of torque (438 N•m) and will give your Hummer H3 a towing capacity of to 6,000 pounds (2,721 kg).
