Bidazzled

Posted on December 9, 2009 by LiNuX

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

Bidazzled is the newest and already considered one of the best places for online entertainment auctions. Released just in time for the Holiday Season last month in November, they are already a big hit. If it’s entertainment related then you can find it on Bidazzled and unlike other auction type web sites, Bidazzled is very unique in their way of bidding and the ways you can win. A majority of the time the auction winner saves up to 80% from the original retail value of the product. What I like about the system is that every time a bid is placed, the auction timer goes up by a few seconds which gives other people the chance to bid and hopefully win. Other auction sites make it hard because there are so many last second bidders that you don’t get a chance to even bid by the time it nears an end.

And best of all, if you win an auction, Bidazzled can make an offer to you to buy the product from you either through cash or by giving you extra bids. Easy way to make money or bid on the things you want even more. And imagine winning a laptop or even a PlayStation Portable for just a $1. IF no one bids on it after you have, the product is yours. Visit them at Bidazzled.com and sign up today and receive five free bids from the start. This could be the start of something great.

Anti-Freeze

Posted on December 9, 2009 by LiNuX

It’s winter and for all you car owners, make sure to use anti-freeze with the water you put in your radiator. Most people forget and in really cold places and in really cold temperatures some of the water in the radiator freezes and it can get a little ‘damagey’ when you run your car with the pieces of ice going through.

I’ll be going by Autozone tomorrow and picking up some anti-freeze. I’ll also be putting some clean water in my radiator, hopefully it keeps warm and doesn’t get all icy on me over the winter.

Rsync Backup

Posted on December 5, 2009December 8, 2009 by LiNuX

Recently I’ve moved my business server’s backups from FTP to Rsync backups which seem to be far more efficient. Unlike FTP which zips up every account individually then transfers them, rsync simply streams the files over and only updates what has changed. We were able to move our backup periods from weekly to daily just like that.

I am not sure why I didn’t try rsync in the past, it seems to be great. I may be using this for our new VPS plans as well, but that’s still a work in progress for us. This is just another step to keep all of our client’s accounts safe and secure. I’d definitely recommend you move to Rsync backups as well.

Last day of Class!

Posted on December 4, 2009 by LiNuX

Yesterday was my official last day of class for the semester, I am one step closer to getting my Bachelor’s degree in Science and it can’t come fast enough. I still can’t believe how quickly this semester or the entire year of 2009 has gone. Believe it or not, we are in December right now and before you know it, 2010 will be here and it may as well come and go just like that.

I’m just glad to be relieved of all classwork, however I still have final exams left but I have a full week before I have to start studying. Hopefully I’ll ace them all. Wish me luck!

On our way to offering VPS

Posted on December 1, 2009 by LiNuX

As you know, I co-own JunaWeb.com and we are on our way to setting up a VPS (virtual private server) service very soon. But we haven’t decided yet on what company to go with to provide us the bigger dedicated server for the service yet. I have been researching for weeks and I still can’t make up my mind. There are few that I have in mind and I will be looking through them along with my business partner to decide on it quickly.

It’s not easy deciding on the company to go with because you could regret it later on. The two options for us are located in Seattle, Washington and Atlanta, Georgia. Both have their advantages and disadvantages and the cheaper one we have no experience with and cheap isn’t always the best option.

Decisions Decisions. If I can make up my mind soon, I will let you know of the server specs. For privacy reasons we won’t tell you about the company itself.

Commenting Turned Off

Posted on November 30, 2009December 4, 2009 by LiNuX

Commenting has been turned off due to the massive amounts of spam we have been getting on the blog. I do apologize for the inconvenience for those that are actually legit visitors that want to comment. I was forced to do this once I found out that out of about 2000 comments posted in the past 60 days, only about 10 were legit of which I have already approved.

600 Total Posts for WebZ Junk Zone

Posted on November 26, 2009 by LiNuX

The WebZ Junk Zone has made the last post the number 600 post on the blog. We are nearing our three year anniversary and averaging more than 200 posts a year is not bad at all. Compared to other blogs we are on the high road to having a 1000 posts and most manual blogs don’t have that many posts. Of course those automated ones are bound to have that many posts because they only copy the content over.

But anyway congrats to WZJZ.net. The domain is nearly 3 years old and I am proud of owning it. We recently got back page rank of 2 which really isn’t as important as it used to be since Google’s algorithm doesn’t make much sense anyway but in any case, PR2, I’ll take it.

Congrats to WZJZ, here’s is to success!

Popstation

Posted on November 25, 2009December 5, 2009 by LiNuX

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Popstation. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you’ve wanted to be a star, now is your chance because PopStation can make it happen. If you can record a song for yourself and upload it to popstation, you can become the next best singer out there if you are good enough and if you can outperform everyone else out there. If you have the talent for it then there shouldn’t be a problem at all. And Popstation provides you with an Audacity software called Popstation Studio that will allow you to record your own music in your own practice rooms and easily upload it to enter their contest.

So why should you enter? If you always wanted to visit New York City then you would want to enter because every three months they select one number one winner and take you to New York City so you can stay at a “ridiculously hip” hotel as described by Popstation. It is an all expense paid three night vacation, a dream vacation for many people. And the best part is that regular people vote so there aren’t any celebrity judges and panels who expect so much from the stars on stage. You can certainly be the next big deal and you can visit Popstation.com for more information on everything.
